Why This Meal Supports Women In Menopause?

This meal brings together the key elements that menopausal women need to feel steady, clear, and well-nourished: quality protein to support muscle, blood sugar, and neurotransmitters; slow, grounding carbohydrates to support the adrenals, thyroid, and nervous system; healthy fats for hormone signalling and brain health; and fermented foods to support the gut–liver–hormone axis.

From a TCM perspective, it gently tonifies Spleen and Kidney energy without creating dampness, while the fresh greens and lemon support Liver flow. Biomedically, this combination helps stabilise glucose, reduce inflammation, support estrogen metabolism, and provide the building blocks for cognitive clarity, bone health, and long-term metabolic resilience during the menopausal transition.
