Did you know that chewing can regulate cognitive functions such as alertness, attention, concentration and learning? In addition to these, it has been found that the loss of molar in early life and in the elderly is associated with dementia and memory loss. More recent studies are confirming these findings. It makes sense to chew well and not only for aiding digestion. If you have lots of liquid meals (shakes, juices, soups) make sure to chew them as well!!
